Release, refresh, reset

Every year in May, people from all over the world gather in my new home, Cyprus, for a two-week retreat to deepen their understanding of the methods and approaches of Qi Medicine. They are part of a training to become a health coach based on Qi Therapy. Every day, we get to know ourselves better and enjoy wonderful encounters, inspiring exchanges, and training together by the blue sea.

Of course, each of us also carries life experiences that make us feel sad or still weigh us down. During the training, we explore the effects of such negative emotional states on our well-being. It’s important not to suppress these feelings, but equally important not to remain stuck in them – because strong emotions can block the flow of Qi and limit our self-healing power.

Would you like to flood your entire body with fresh, powerful Qi to release old, burdensome emotions and instead cultivate calmness, contentment, emotional stability, and mental spaciousness?

Then try this short Qigong practice: Restoring Emotional Balance

Stand or sit upright: Feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent. Let your arms hang loosely by your sides. Soften your gaze and settle your awareness.

Inner affirmation:
Silently think: “I connect with the universal healing power. It is already within me, flows through me, renews and nourishes me.”

Lift the Qi:
a. Raise your arms gently to the sides or in front of you, palms facing upward.
b. Imagine: You are lifting powerful energy from the earth, through your body, up above your head. Hold an energy ball above your crown.

Guide the Qi into your body:
a. Turn your palms downward and slowly move your arms back down, along your face and the front of your body.
b. Sense: Qi, new life force, and lightness flowing through your head, chest, abdomen, hips, pelvis, legs – all the way down to your feet.
c. As you do this, visualize heavy thoughts, emotions, or tensions being gently washed away and released with the Qi.

Repeat this movement sequence for about 5 minutes in a calm, steady rhythm. Breathe naturally. Allow inner peace, renewal, and balance to arise.

To close: Place your hands on your navel. Feel into your body.Send your best information into life, for example: “I am calm, connected, and at peace.”

This exercise creates an energetic opening throughout the entire body and gently dissolves stagnant emotions. It integrates body, awareness, and energy in a natural, meditative flow. Through soft, mindful movement, compassion and inner peace emerge.
